The world's richest man, Elon Musk, has caused a political storm in the UK with a series of controversial posts targeting Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the Labor government. His comments have reopened discussion on the issue of child grooming gangs and sparked calls for a new investigation.

The Labor government was quick to dismiss Musk's comments, with Health Secretary Wes Streeting calling them “ill-judged and misinformed”. Starmer's lawyers claim that as DPP he introduced new guidance in 2013 to better deal with child sexual exploitation cases.

But on Sunday, Musk appeared to distance himself from Nigel Farage, leader of Britain's anti-immigration Reform UK party. Musk, who previously hinted at potential support for Farage's party, declared on his X platform: “The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn't have what it needs.”

The public rift comes days after Farage revealed he had spoken with Musk about the possibility of a significant financial contribution to UK reforms.
