A tornado warning has been issued across the UK tomorrow as the country prepares for Storm Éowyn after the Met Office earlier issued a warning to life at risk.
Storm Eowyn, the first named storm of 2025, is set to batter the country with 90 mph winds, heavy rain and snow, and is now expected to bring tornadoes to parts of the country.
The European Storm Forecast Experiment (Estofex) has issued a level 2 warning warning that the development of tornadoes 'cannot be ruled out'.
Southern England is expected to be hardest hit, with Estofex warning of the potential for severe wind gusts along with a few tornadoes on Thursday.
European forecasters added that the risk of an actual tornado could not be ruled out, as areas between Bristol and London were on high alert.
A level 1 tornado warning has been issued across wider areas of southern England and much of Wales, indicating a 'similar risk but low probability' of a tornado forming.

Britain is bracing for strong winds, rain and snow as Storm Eowyn is set to hit the UK with gusts of up to 90mph.
Storm Eowyn is set to hit parts of the UK on Friday, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning for northern England, northern Wales, Northern Ireland and southern Scotland.
The Met Office predicted power cuts from Manchester to Glasgow could have dangerous knock-on effects.
Wind gusts of up to 90 mph are expected along the coast and up to 70 mph inland.
Winds can be particularly dangerous and people should be cautious about the risk of injury and life from flying debris.
Road, rail, air and ferry services are likely to be affected and may be canceled due to road and bridge closures.

According to the Met Office, a yellow weather warning means travel disruption, power outages and potential danger to life and property are likely.
An amber warning has been issued across the UK for Thursday and strong winds are expected.
Big waves are expected on the coast and people have been warned that the water will be splashing.
Heavy rain is expected to fall across western Wales and south-west England on Friday.
Temperatures will remain mild in some areas, while in the south, snow will fall in the highlands of Scotland and northern England.
Mike Silverstone, chief meteorologist at the Met Office, said: “Storm Eowyn is expected to bring very strong winds and widespread disruption on Friday.”
“There are currently a number of weather warnings in place, with one warning being issued across the UK at some point on Friday.
“Storm Eowyn is expected to cross Northern Ireland early on Friday morning. It will then continue northeast across northern Scotland on Friday afternoon and is expected to be centered near Shetland on Friday evening.”
National Highways, which operates England's motorways and major A roads, urged drivers in the North West, North East and Yorkshire to plan for disruption on Friday.
It warned that vehicles with high sides, caravans and motorcycles were at “particularly high” risk of overturning.
Ireland's weather service, Met Eirean, issued a rare red warning ahead of the storm.
They warned that “severe and damaging gusts” would hit counties Limerick, Clare, Cork and Kerry on Friday morning.
According to Met Eirean, red warnings are only a concern for “rare and very hazardous weather conditions”.
It is believed wind speeds could reach 120mph, the highest since Storm Debbie in 1961.
A yellow or amber weather warning has been issued for the rest of Ireland.
The Met Office warning could be upgraded before Friday.
