The storm has increased the threat of flooding and further disrupted transport across much of England and Wales.
A series of amber warnings for wind and rain were in place for much of England and Wales, and more than 50 flood warnings were issued.
Flights were canceled on Saturday, major rail lines were closed and ferry services were suspended after winds exceeding 100 mph lashed parts of England throughout Friday. More than a million people were left without power due to the severe storm.
A rare red weather warning was lifted on Friday in Scotland and Northern Ireland, where Storm Eowyn damaged buildings, uprooted trees and disrupted power supplies.

But the Met Office has issued a weather warning until Tuesday as a new low-pressure system, dubbed Storm Herminia by Spanish forecasters, will remain in place over the weekend, moving in from the southwest as Éowyn passes.
A gale warning was lifted for the west coast of England, Wales and south-west Scotland at 5pm on Sunday after wind speeds of up to 82mph were recorded in south Cornwall.
A further yellow wind warning has been issued from 6am on Monday and will last for 24 hours. Covers London, south-east England, south-west and Wales.

The Met Office said up to 80 mm of rain could fall during this period, with a couple of heavy downpours and thundershowers expected in some areas, with 10 to 20 mm falling quite widely and 30 to 50 mm in higher elevations.
Flooding of homes and businesses is possible in warning areas, as well as power outages and difficult driving conditions. There is also a low risk of fast-moving water or deep flooding posing a risk to life, the Met Office said.

Met Office meteorologist Marco Petagna said: “The situation will be unstable over the next few days. There has been a series of wet and windy weather, which is clearly adding to the impact.
Expected to feel the strongest winds, although not as strong as Storm Eowyn, Spanish meteorologists have named the low pressure system Storm Herminia.
The Met Office said strong strong winds were expected on Monday, with showers worsening in the south and snow falling in the northern hills.

Strong winds are expected to ease slowly in the south-west overnight, but are expected to strengthen again in the far north.
More thunderstorms are expected to fall in southern parts of the country on Tuesday. A prolonged rainy season is expected in the northwest.
Wet and windy weather will remain in the south until Wednesday, but more settled conditions will emerge later in the week.
