Washington, DC Department of the Interior, Interior Secretary, Doug Burgum, takes immediate measures to release the potential for unexploited natural resources in Alaskas and supports President Donald J. Trumps Vision of American energy domination.

Under the direction of the secretary, the Bureau of Land Management will continue measures to extend the possibilities of exploration and development in the national oil reserve in Alaska and in the coastal plain of the National Arctic Wildlife Refuge. The BLM will also work on the partial revocation of public withdrawals that will help consolidate the way for the proposed projects of Ambler Road and Alaska Liquified Gascline.

It is time for the United States to adopt abundant and largely unexploited resources in Alaskas as a path of prosperity for the nation, including Alaskans, said secretary Burgum. For too long, the federal government has created too many obstacles to the capitalization of the energy potential of states. The interior undertakes to recognize the central role played by the state of Alaska in the satisfaction of the energy needs of our nations, while offering enormous economic opportunities to Alaska.

The reopening of 82% of the national oil reserve in Alaska is available for the rental and expansion of energy development opportunities in the reserve of around 23 million acres. This plan would balance the secretary's responsibilities to support the needs of the rental, exploration and development of oil and gas in accordance with the energy needs of the nation and to protect significant surface resources in the reserve.
