Influenza of bird origin identified in the amount of Yorkshire

UKS's chief veterinarian confirmed the case of influenza in the algae origin (H5N1) in the amount of Yorkshire after a repetitive milk test.
The incident was confirmed after the routine surveillance of the livestock co -arranged on the premises confirmed by the algae influenza. Defra introduced livestock surveillance on infected premises after the outbreak of avian influenza in the cow of the United States.
The infected amount is humanitally curled to enable extensive tests. Additional tests on the remaining flocks on the premises were performed in the avian influenza national reference laboratory of the Animal and Plant Health Bureau. Additional infections on the Avian influenza virus have not been found in the remaining group, which remains a single case in mammals detected on the premises.
This is the first time this virus has been reported for the first time in the sheep, but this is not the first time that the influenza of bird origin has been discovered in other countries. There is no evidence that suggests an increase in the risk of national livestock population.
However, the UK's top veterinarians have urged all livestock goalkeepers to keep their boundaries after the recent outbreak. All goalkeepers must maintain good biological security, which is essential to protect animal health and welfare, and is important to prevent further spread of disease when developing.
According to the UKS international reporting requirements, this event will now be reported to both the World Animal Health Organization (WOAH) and the World Health Organization.
British veterinarian Christine Middlemon said:
We have confirmed the influenza detection of Avian Origin (H5N1) on a sheep on a farm in Yorkshire. Strict biological security measures have been implemented to prevent further spread of the disease.
The risk of livestock is still low, but it urges all animal owners to guarantee thorough cleanliness and immediately report signs of infection to animal plant health institutions.
The UK Health Security Bureau (UKHSA) said that bird influenza is a disease of birds and the risk of general public health is very low, but people should not touch the dead wild birds they found.
The food standards advise that the poultry and poultry products, including eggs, are safe to eat poultry products, and the bird influenza poses very low food safety risks for British consumers because the H5N1 virus is not generally transmitted through food.
Dr. Meera CHand, head of the emerging infection of the British Health Security Bureau, said:
Globally, we continue to see that mammals can be infected with avian influenza A (H5N1).
However, according to the current evidence, the avian influenza virus suggests that the circulation of the world does not spread easily to people and the risk of bird flu is very low for the general public.
UKHSA will closely monitor the situation with Defra, DHSC, Animal and Factory Health Organization and Food Standards.
UKHSA has established preparations to detect human cases of bird flu and will respond quickly to NHS and other partners if necessary.
Robin May, a scientific advisor of FSA, said:
We are working closely with Defra, Ukhsa and Food Standards Scotland after the bird influenza virus was found in the UK. Our advice is that Bird FLU is a very low food safety risk for British consumers because the H5N1 virus is not generally transmitted through food.
We will monitor the situation closely and continue to evaluate new information to be safe for British food.
What you can do
Avian influenza can be notified from all poultry and other prisoners, and the influenza of bird origin can be notified in both mammals and wild mammals. If an animal is suspected of being infected with avian influenza viruses, it should be immediately reported to APHA.
0300 2001 in the UK
0300 303 8268 in Wales
Scotin Scotland by contacting local field services
It is a crime that does not do that.
We announce the case definition of Avian Origin's influenza to support the decision of suspicion and how to monitor the risk of Avian Origin's influenza in wild mammals.
