In an important security violation, a journalist was involuntarily added to a group conversation with the best US national security officials to discuss the plans aimed at bombing the Houthis in Yemen. Jeffrey Goldberg, editor -in -chief of the Atlantic, was invited to the cat on March 11 on the signal encrypted messaging application, which is not a secure government network. Goldberg yesterday revealed the existence of the chain of messages in a story in the Atlantic.

However, in the coming days, Goldberg said that the texts seemed more and more real. He said everything considered that just two hours after receiving a war plan, American bombing started in Yemen. The National Security Council yesterday published a statement saying that the equipment “seemed to be authentic”. Based on the Goldberg account, no senior national security official has raised concerns about the sharing of war plans on the signal.
A Federal Court of Appeal in Washington, DC, examines if the White House can expel alleged members of the Venezuelan gang Tren in Aragua using the Extraterrestrial Enemies Act of 1798, a rarely used war authority. The Trump administration invoked the privilege of state secrets last night and plans to continue to retain key information on expulsion flights which may have violated judicial orders.
The Extraterrestrial Enemies Act was only used three times in the history of the United States, the whole country was at war, according to Joel Rose de NPR. The Trump administration maintains that the law should also apply to these deportations, because it has appointed Tren of Aragua a foreign terrorist organization. A judge reaffirmed his temporary prohibition order which prohibited the administration from using the law to expel the Venezuelans on the grounds that these migrants have not received a regular procedure to affirm that they are not members of the gang. The White House says he is convinced that all those expelled using the law are part of the violent gang. The administration has conceded in legal conclusions that “many” have no criminal record in the United States
The second Lady Usha Vance goes to Greenland this week, raising the eyebrows because of President Trump's repeated comments suggesting that the United States should take it back. Denmark controls the territory, which is a strategic location rich in minerals used in technology. Greenland and Denmark have reprimanded Trump's statements, which said that the land is not for sale. The White House says that Vance's journey is a cultural excursion, and it should visit historic sites, learn more about the heritage of Greenland and attend its national dog race.
Deepa Shivaram de NPR says it is an unusual journey for Vance. People who studied the first and second women tell Shivaram that they were surprised by the announcement of travel due to the controversy of politics. Because it is at the start of the administration, we do not know what the vance portfolio is or on what problems it will focus. It is possible that she can carve out space to transmit a positive image of the United States and herself. The Greenland reaction was negative, said Shivaram. The Prime Minister declared in a Greenland newspaper that the territory was to face the gravity of the United States which wanted to annex it. Deep
The state of Virginia saw the deaths by overdose of drugs plunge more than 40% in a single year. Many other states see improvements above 30%. Why does it happen? Researchers say it can be a combination of factors, some hope and some painful. Spencer Platt / Getty images hide the legend

Over the past six months, Brian Mann of NPR has followed the mystery of the reason why the deaths of drugs fall to the United States at a rate that experts say that it is a hope but confusing. Previously, the most ambitious efforts to slow down the deaths of drugs have led to a reduction in deadly overdoses by 8% or 9%. At the time, it was a great victory. Now, at the national level, deaths plunged more than 26% compared to the summit in June 2023, according to the latest preliminary data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This represents around 30,000 less people who die each year. Here are some main theories behind the drop, according to experts:
Public health agents say that Naloxone, also known as Narcan, had a huge impact. The nasal spray quickly opposite opioid and fentanyl overdoses and has been distributed free of charge in many high -risk communities. In many regions of the United States, fentanyl sold by drug traffickers has experienced a significant drop in purity, according to organizations that test the medication. Deaths may decrease in part because a heartbreaking number of people using fentanyl and other street drugs have not survived. Over the past five years, around 110,000 people have died due to drug overdoses each year in American research suggests that fewer young people and adolescents consume drugs other than cannabis. This trend is important because new users have low physical tolerance for opioids, which makes them more likely to overdose and potentially die. Live better

Living better is a special series on what it takes to stay healthy in America.
Tiktok has become a popular source to share the advice and experiences of ADHD for adolescents and young adults. Hashtags linked to ADHD have collected millions of views. Content creators exploit humor and themes that feel relatable to many people living with mental health. Therapists say that the content has helped lead many adults to a diagnosis after being overlooked for years. However, a new study revealed that a large part of the information was misleading.
Many content creators have simplified or overestimated the symptoms of ADHD without reliable sources to save them. A constant flow of this content could lead people to become “hyperaware of shortcomings in concentration”, explains Vasileia Karasavva, author of the study and postdoctoral student at the University of British Columbia. This could explain why people consider symptoms to be more serious when they watch more of these videos. In videos, the lines can be vague between symptoms and symptoms of ADHD which may indicate other mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, explains Kevin Antshel, clinical psychologist at the University of Syracuse. The average American can have two or three ADHD symptoms, but that is not correlated with a diagnosis. This is a largely genetic condition, explains Maggie Sibley, clinical psychologist at the University of Washington Medicine School. It is not a temporary response to the environment of a person. 3 things to know before leaving
