American beef: Hormone-treated foods will not enter the United Kingdom after US agreement

The government insisted that the meat treated with American hormones will not begin to infiltrate the British market, following the tariff agreement agreed this week which stimulates the beef trade in both directions.

Some X users have suggested that buyers should look for the red tractor label, which means that meat is produced in the United Kingdom.

American producers must have implemented monitoring and certification procedures to prove that they comply with British food standards that will be allowed to export, said Defra.
