UTEP Seeks To Take Place In C-USA Tournament With MTSU Victory
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) The UTEP Men's Basketball Team has won two straight USA Conference games for the first time in two years and will be looking to expand its victories in Middle Tennessee on Wednesday evening. The Miners and Blue Raiders will kick off at 5:30 p.m. MT at Murphy Center.
With a victory, the Miners (15-14, 6-10 C-USA) will win a place in the Basketball Championships of the USA 2020 Conference from March 11 to 14 in Frisco. The Blue Raiders (7-22, 3-13 C-USA) are eliminated from the post-season competition after falling to Rice, 77-66, on March 1.
UTEP has just won against Rice (February 22) and Southern Miss (March 1), winning two consecutive league games for the first time since the 2017-18 season when the Miners defeated LA Tech (February 22) ) and Southern.
