US reflects on cash payments to help curb migration

The White House is considering sending cash payments to some Central American countries to try and help them tackle national issues that are causing people to migrate to the United States.

Roberta Jacobson, the southern border coordinator of the White Houses, told Reuters in an interview that the possible program would send money to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.
