Following a fire at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) building in Karachi that led to a two-hour suspension of trading activities, rescue officials have managed to bring the situation under control, according to a Dawn report.
Sindh Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hassaan Khan confirmed that there were no casualties in the fire.
Hassan Khan said the fire broke out on the fourth floor of Ali Habib Trading Company building on II Chundrigar Road. He added that the cooling process of the building had started when firefighters reached the spot.
The spokesperson of Sindh Rescue 1122 also informed that as soon as the central command and control received the information regarding the fire, noted that as soon as the central command and control of Rescue 1122 received the information, two fire engines reached the spot to douse the fire, according to Dawn.
To extinguish the fire, a snorkel and a total of six firefighters arrived at the building, Khan said.
