During the past few weeks, a series of earthquakes in the Seattle area left many residents on the edge of the abyss. Can this be a sign that “Big One” is on its way?

The last Cascada's main earthquake struck in 1700, and with a medium frequency period of 550 years, this means, this can happen at any time. Scientists say that the real issue is not whether the Cascadia cutting area will launch a huge earthquake – it's when.

Since February 22, the northwestern seismic network in the Pacific Ocean has registered five prominent earthquakes in Washington, West, including 3.9, near Port Angeles on March 5.

The 4.5 -length earthquake near the Friday port, Washington has a little chance of being a larger event for a larger event in the coming weeks.

These earthquakes are not necessarily a warning sign but remind us that we live in a seismic area. While the last height is higher than the average, it is still among the natural ranges.
