Another 6.2 magnitude earthquake hits the Philippines

Another strong earthquake struck the southern Philippines late Saturday, just a day after two major tremors struck Davao Oriental.

The earthquake was also felt by residents of Davao City and neighboring areas, raising concerns among residents who are still suffering from previous quakes.

Authorities said they were assessing possible aftershocks and damage.

Meanwhile, more than 66,000 families were affected by two strong earthquakes that struck the southern Philippines hours apart on Friday, according to officials and local media.

Davao Oriental Governor Nelson Dayangerang said on Saturday that about 100 homes were destroyed and about 500 others were partially damaged, ABS-CBN reported.
