Legendary reporter Jon Snow has revealed he has Alzheimer’s

For 50 years, and more than 30 of them here at Channel 4 News, Jon Snow’s life’s work, his vocation, was to get to the truth of every story, to report how the world works for better and for worse. “I want to tell the truth and see where it takes us,” he once explained. It’s been a while since Jon has faced a difficult truth about himself, and today it’s revealed that he’s living with Alzheimer’s. In a candid and sometimes painful interview with the Daily Mail, Jon talks about dealing with a diagnosis he initially tried to ignore with his wife Precious. But now, he has decided to return to his lifelong love of storytelling, this time his own story, but as always with the intention of informing others. On June 20th in the documentary called ‘A Last Big Story’ – Jon and his wife Precious explain why Alzheimer’s is not the end of life, but another way of living.
