Springfield, Missouri (KY3)-Six months have passed since the first COVID-19 case was reported in Greene County.

April 12 (1 month): 76 cases, 8 deaths
May 12 (2 months): 90 cases, 8 deaths
June 12 (3 months): 194 cases, 8 deaths
July 12 (4 months): 520 cases, 9 deaths
August 12 (5 months): 1,765 cases, 16 deaths
September 12 (6 months): 4,804 cases, 44 people died
“These deaths remind us that COVID-19 isn’t over, and some of us aren’t affected, but there’s no guarantee for this disease,” Springfield said. -Greene County Health Craigodard Director of the Ministry of Health in early September. “At least, especially high-risk people need to faithfully practice distance monitoring, wearing masks, and washing hands with each other.”
As of Sunday, September 12, Green County reported 4,833 COVID-19 cases. The county reported 2,296 active cases and 2,493 recovery.
