Marine earthquake near the Alaska Panhandle strikes northwest of North BC

The US Geological Survey measured it as a 4.4 magnitude earthquake.

At a depth of 11 kilometers, the epicenter was 53 kilometers (33 miles) southwest of Sitka, Alaska. 201 kilometers (125 miles) southwest of Juneau, Alaska; 431 kilometers (268 miles) northwest of Prince Robert, British Columbia; And 455 kilometers (282 miles) south of Whitehorse, Yukon.
