6:00 pm: Callaway County reports one new COVID-19-related death

Callaway County has added 112 cases in the last 24 hours, marking a total of 651 active cases as of Thursday. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been a total of 2,430 cases in Callaway County.

According to the Callaway County COVID-19 dashboard, there are 190 additional active cases that are part of the Callaway County Correction Department and 16 additional active cases at Fulton State Hospital.

One COVID-19-related death was reported on Thursday. A total of 17 people have died in the county since the pandemic began.

The average 14-day rolling case in the county is 36.93, according to data from the New York Times, two days behind.

5:15 pm: Cole County reports 15 new COVID-19-related deaths

The Cole County Health Department now displays the total number of positive cases by day. This reflects the date the sample was collected, not the date the Health Department received the results.

This change delays the reporting of the total for the day. The county also stopped reporting active or isolated cases.

As of Thursday, there were 5,658 cases in Cole County, an increase of 133 cases from Wednesday. There are 229 cases in the long-term care facility.

The county reported 15 new deaths on Thursday. COVID-19 has killed a total of 29 people in the community and 38 in nursing homes.

4:15 pm: Boone County reports a record number of new COVID-19 cases

The Columbia / Boone County Public Health and Welfare Department has reported 226 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases to 877. This is the highest increase in a day.

Scott Claddy, the agency’s assistant director, claimed that the increase in cases was the result of Thanksgiving gatherings.

“We can’t investigate all cases yet, but the time frame is suitable for this increase. As a result of Thanksgiving and other gatherings, we expect the numbers to continue to grow in the coming days.” Said.

The county also reported 153 hospitalizations, 29 of which were residents of Boone County. Currently, there are 41 COVID-19 patients in the ICU and 21 patients in the ventilator.

10:15 am: Boone County reports fourth death in four days

The Columbia / Boone County Public Health and Welfare Department announced the death of one new COVID-19 on Thursday morning, killing a total of 30 people since the start of the pandemic.

The individual belonged to a group between the ages of 70 and 74 and recorded the third death in that age group.

It is also the fourth dead in four days for Boone County.

7:45 am: Missouri reports 3,998 new cases

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has added 3,998 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The total number of cases in Missouri is currently 309,368.

The state has also reported 59 new deaths in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of COVID-19-related deaths to 4,102 since the pandemic began.
