An earthquake in Central Sulawesi caused panic among Bahodobi residents
Palu (Antara) – Residents of the Pahodobi sub-district in Murwali, Central Sulawesi Province, rushed from their homes shortly after sensing a 4.9-magnitude earthquake that shook the area early Monday morning.
Bayou, a local resident, recounted that the earthquake, which occurred around 3:13 a.m. local time, briefly triggered a feeling of panic among locals due to the intense shaking. He and several other residents rushed to safer places.
“However, none of the houses were damaged. It only caused panic for a short time,” he said.
The Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) recorded that the epicenter was about eight kilometers (kilometers) east of Tullu Bay in the Bahodobi sub-region at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Head of Geophysics Station in Palu City, Cahio Nugroho, stated that areas of Morwali County experienced six earthquakes of magnitude 3.4 and 4.9 magnitude from 2:27 to 6:15 a.m. local time
Earthquakes regularly hit different parts of Indonesia as the country is located on the Pacific Belt, also known as the Ring of Fire, where many tectonic plates meet and cause frequent volcanic and seismic activities.

A total of 68,451 homes were severely damaged, while 78,994 people were displaced.
Authorities and humanitarian workers decided to bury a large number of rotting bodies in mass graves.
Meanwhile, the material losses caused by the two deadly disasters were valued at 15.29 trillion rupees.
The capital of Palu County bore the brunt of the disaster, recording material losses and damages of 7.6 trillion rupees, or 50 percent of the total estimate, according to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).

Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price.
