Coronavirus: Blockade extended for weeks to prevent “second wave” of death – BBC News

The UK will be locked up for at least another three weeks. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said Britain was in a delicate and dangerous phase, and soon, in this calming and soothing pandemic, coronavirus and other deaths could be at risk.

He said the blockade – which runs until at least May 7 – will only be lifted when the day-to-day termination rate decreases, and experts can be confident that the UK is beyond the summit, and the NHS can deal with it.

Sophie Raworth presents BBC News in ten reports by political editor Laura Kuenssberg and science editor David Shukman.
