Did COVID make me a hermit?
I’m worried that it might have affected me 12 months after I was away from people, and I think it’s okay.
I have always been a sociable person. That’s why I chose my career. I could talk to anyone at any time and was in front of the crowd and that wasn’t a problem. But being stuck at home for a long time with little contact with anyone but my family comes at the cost of you.
I’m almost becoming a hermit, getting lost in my little world and honestly feeling pretty happy. This is very strange to me as an extrovert, but I think I like my introversion. When I suggest someone go somewhere, I’m in a place where I’m not interested at all. I feel that I should jump to the chance to do something with the opposite feeling.
I’m always a sociable person and I love going out, but I didn’t have to be “on” and I always enjoyed it when I was just able to relax. Now I feel like the pandemic put me in rewind mode forever. I think I’ll be back to my old self someday, but it’s strange to experience it, and it’s like a different person.
