The deaths brought state pandemic casualties to 1,478 people, including 188 in Burleigh. The county has not reported Coloane virus-related deaths since March 13.
The Ministry of Health identified 179 new COVID-19 cases from 6,570 tests processed Thursday and calculated a positive rate of 3.75%. The new case resulted in a total pandemic of 105,557, with 102,896 recovery and 4,036 hospitalizations. Thirty-one virus patients remained in the hospital on Friday, unchanged from the previous day.
Active COVID-19 cases were relatively stable, with 1,183 cases across the state and 209 cases in Burleigh-Morton County.
Approximately 499,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been distributed to more than 267,500 people in North Dakota. Two of the three vaccines available should be given twice every few weeks. The use of a single dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine was suspended while federal authorities were further investigating its safety.
