Didn’t you feel it? A 2.7-magnitude earthquake strikes Chucina, Granada, Spain

A slight earthquake of 2.7 magnitude was recorded in Granada on Saturday.

According to the National Geographic Institute (IGN), the earthquake was recorded at 1:44 a.m. and its epicenter was in Chocina, located in Vieja, Granada.

Based on preliminary seismic data, the earthquake had a very shallow depth (0 km) and was felt by many people in the epicenter area.

The new earthquake occurred in the same region, where more than 2,720 earthquakes were recorded since last December, of which 33 earthquakes were greater than or equal to 3.0, and a large part of the population felt nearly 300 earthquakes.

8.0 or greater: major earthquake. It can completely devastate communities near the epicenter.
