Police issue arrest warrant for former Home and Away actor

The police issued an arrest warrant for the former At home and away actor Orpheus Pledger, after allegedly leaving the Royal Melbourne Hospital during a court-ordered medical assessment.

Pledger was taken to hospital on Monday after being released on bail in Melbourne Magistrates Court, where he was facing charges for allegedly assaulting a woman.

The 30-year-old was ordered to return to court following the assessment but did not appear yesterday.

Police are appealing for the public's help to help them find Pledger.

Pledger is approximately 170 cm tall, has brown hair and a tan complexion.

He is known to frequent Northcote and surrounding areas.

“Investigators have released an image of Pledger in the hope that someone can provide information on his current whereabouts,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

The actor has worked on a series of popular Australian television shows for over two decades.

Pledger began his career as a child actor in Our secret life before it appears on McLeod's Daughters, Blue heels, Neighbors And At home and away.

He appeared on a reality TV show SAS Australia in 2022 but voluntarily withdrew from the show after just two days.
