Telugu actor Ashi Roy arrested for attending rave party in Bangalore: 'I didn't know it was…'
Another popular Tollywood actor Aashi Roy was arrested by the Bengaluru police on Wednesday for allegedly attending a rave party at a farmhouse near Electronic City earlier this week. Notably, her industry counterpart, Hema, was also arrested after police raided the farm and seized 17 MDMA and cocaine tablets.
The police are currently questioning Aashi Roy and his blood sample has been taken as part of the investigation.
After giving him a blood sample, Aashi posted a video on YouTube and said she was unaware of the “nature of the party”. She also claimed that although she was present at the party, she did not know what was going on inside.
“It was a birthday party,” she said in the video, maintaining her innocence and asking people to support her.
Police said Telugu actress Hema was also present at the rave party.
The crime branch had raided a rave party organized at a farm near Electronic City and seized 17 pills of MDMA and cocaine on May 20. The event, which continued after 2 am, was held under the guise of a birthday party, and more than 100 of the participants, including 25 women, from Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru, were present.
The farmhouse reportedly belonged to Gopala Reddy, the owner of Con Card, and the party was organized by a Hyderabad-based man, Vasu.
