Pritam has traditionally ruled this genre and in 2020 it does not disappoint with the music of Love Aaj Kal 2 (2020) with Shayad and Rahogi Meri being two easy favorites in Arijit Singh’s voice. Irshad Kamils’ lyrics are just so flowing about it, making them so easy to convey to Singh.

Rochak Kohlis’ collaboration with Gurpreet Saini and the American singer Lauv produced a very refreshing sound on Dil Na Jaaneya from Good Newwz (2019). The modern sound is really well balanced with lyrics in Hindi and English. Akasas’ voice is the real highlight giving this song a totally exceptional vibe in this category.

Another song with a brilliant vibe is the remake of Kinna Sona by Marjaavaan (2019). Well done to Meet Bros for this romantic remake beautifully delivered by Jubin Nautiyal & Dhvani Bhanushali. Thodi Jagah and Tum Hi Aana are two other beautiful romantic numbers on this album. While Tanishk Bagchi proves his metal on originals with Thodi Jagah bring the poetry of Rashmi Virags to life with classic Singh songs, Tum Hi Aana proves Payal Dev’s talent with the ghazal style given to the words of Kunaal Vermaas delivered to perfection by Nautiyal.

We can’t keep Kabir Singh (2019) songs from a romantic playlist! Bekhayali is perhaps one of the best songs of all time with its rock style delivered by Sachet Parampara, which makes it an iconic number. Jasleen Royals voice is enough to melt the heart Jahaan Tu Chala in Gully Boy (2019). Its almost speaking delivery style works perfectly with the lyrics of Aditya Sharmas, making it one of our favorites.

Sajid-Wajids Dabangg 3 (2019) has delivered two truly incredible romantic numbers. Dane Sabri wrote a superb Sufi-style song called Naina Lade which is made iconic by Javed Ali with remarkable voices. While Irfan Kamal writes Habibi Ke Nain delivered in a ghazal style by Nautiyal and Shreya Ghoshal that you absolutely must listen to.

Nautiyals’ voices are best heard Pyaar Toh Tha de Bala (2019) as an ambient composition by Sachin-Jigars gives him a wide range to play with in the arrangement of the song. Asees Kaurs supporting the voice and the lyrics of Priya Saraiyas are right there and therefore memorable on this song!

Sanam Puri & Neeti Mohan met on Fakira on the music of Vishal-Shekhar and the lyrics of Anvita Dutt Guptan whose poetic style delivers deeply romantic songs and Fakira is no different! This song from Student of the Year 2 (2019) has a very soft texture for easy and very pleasant listening.

Vocally, the best song of the year goes pretty easily Kalank the title song by Kalank (2019) because Singh has a reach and depth like no other on this song. There is a lot of emotion and depth in the lyrics of Amitabh Bhattacharyas and a massive instrumentation led by Pritam on this song.

There are two beautiful romantic numbers on the Luka Chuppi album (2019). Punjabi number bagchis remake Photo really worth a listen. Karan Sehmbis’ modern rural style vocal debut is definitely a winner. While the composition of Abhijit Vaghanis and the words of Kunaal Vermas on Duniyaa have a different level of depth. Akhil and Bhanushali rock the song on this song!

Malang (2020) has a beautiful and deep number called Humraah sung to perfection by Sachet Tandon to the music of The Fusion Project. The lyrics of Vermas are to be heard absolutely on this song. Chal Ghar Chalen is a number so warm with a soft groove thanks to the music of Mithoon. Singh offers his best singing to the moving words of Sayeed Quadris.

We love the happy romantic songs and the rhythm Tu Mila in Haina de De Pyaar De (2019) is the best in this area. Almost a dance number composed by Amaal Malik, Singh gives a different vocal style here. Positive vibrations ooze words written by Vermaa and she only smiles.

Finally, we cannot miss the deep and moving remake of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha after Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (2019). The voice of Darshan Ravals is very pleasant to the ear with his husky style while the music is really soothing as composed by Kohli with the words of Gurpreet Saini.
