Filming of Janhvi Kapoor’s film halted again in Punjab as farmers demand actress to support protest against farm laws
Filming for the movie Good Luck Jerry began a few weeks ago, but was cut short due to protest by farmers. The film is directed by Siddharth Sengupta.
New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Office: The shooting of Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming film “Good Luck Jerry” was once again interrupted by a group of farmers protesting against farm laws. The incident took place in Patiala on Saturday when restless farmers halted filming of the film and demanded a statement from the actress in support of the farmers’ protest against the three new laws.
The protesting farmers said they would not allow the film to be filmed in Patiala until the actress made a statement in support of their protest against farm laws. Also earlier, farmers had stopped filming Jahnvi’s film in Fatehgarh Sahib district.
“We told them earlier that we would not allow the film to be shot here. But they still held a shoot. We stopped it again today,” said a protester quoted by PTI.
The protesters further said they had no hard feelings against anyone and would allow the film to be shot if Janhvi made a statement in favor of the farmers.
Previously, Janhvi’s photos were touring the internet as she was taken in the middle of the crowded market. She has also been seen posing for selfies with fans. As soon as his photos went viral on the internet, it reminded netizens of his mother Sridevi, and many users have said that his look from the movie Good Luck Jerry is quite similar to the English Vinglish.
Filming for the movie Good Luck Jerry began a few weeks ago, but was cut short due to protest by farmers. Due to the shutdown, the cast and crew have now moved to Chandigarh. The film is directed by Siddharth Sengupta.
