Jokowi leads Pancasila’s birthday commemoration ceremony in Monas tomorrow

Pancasila’s birthday is celebrated every June 1st. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is expected to become the inspector for the Pancasila Day Commemoration Ceremony in Monas, Central Jakarta, to be held tomorrow.
“As Ceremonial Inspector, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko WidodoPancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) chief Yudian Wahyudi said during a press conference commemorating Pancasila Day in Menteng area, central Jakarta on Wednesday (31/ 5/2023).
Yudian explained that the ceremony would be centered on the southern square of Monas. Additionally, there will be approximately 553 regencies, cities, and provinces holding the ceremony simultaneously.
“It will be held on the south side of Jakarta Monas Field. The Pancasila commemoration ceremony on June 1 will involve more than 4,000 people consisting of ceremonial troops, guests, ceremony participants, officers and the committee ceremonial,” he said.
Meanwhile, DIY Regional Police Traffic Director Kombes Alfian Nurrizal will be the commander of the ceremony. Next, Arkamelvi Kamani was lined up to become a Ceremonial Officer of the Permanent Garrison Command (Kasko Gartap).
Yudian said the theme for this year’s Pancasila commemoration is “Gotong Royong to build civilization and global growth.”
“This theme implies that the momentum of commemorating Pancasila Day is a spark for the people of Indonesia to work together to create a more advanced civilization of Indonesian society and become the center of global growth,” Yudian said.
Previously, in order to welcome Pancasila’s birthday, BPIP had also carried out several activities. The first is the Pancasila Carnival held on Sunday (28/5) at the HI roundabout.
Moreover, BPIP organized a Virtual Pancasila Expo which was held from last Sunday (28/5). The event will be held until August 18, 2023.
