Jokowi opens 2024 government internal control coordination meeting

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened the 2024 national coordination meeting for internal government control. Jokowi began his speech by addressing the issue of compensation for employees of the Financial Supervision and Development Agency (BPKP).
Monitoring detikcom, Wednesday (22/5/2024), Jokowi arrived at the State Palace at 09:34 WIB. The event began with the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya”.
“Last year, in July, I signed a presidential decree regarding the BPKP performance allocation to 100 percent. This is a form of appreciation of the BPKP that should stimulate and trigger the performance of the BPKP,” said Jokowi.

According to Jokowi, the role of the BPKP is very important in terms of supervision. He said that the BPKP played a role in safeguarding sustainable development for the people.
“Compared to a train car, BPKP helps build the track. It goes straight and ensures that the train arrives at its destination quickly and precisely, just right,” he explained.
Jokowi then officially opened the 2024 national coordination meeting for internal government supervision.
