Democracy and Indian Constitution thrive in Jammu and Kashmir: PM Modi
Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that democracy and Indian constitution are truly thriving in Jammu and Kashmir.
He pointed out that those who have not yet adopted these principles are the real adversaries of the Kashmiri people.
Addressing a young audience at SKICC, he highlighted that the NDA government at the Center is dedicated to taking forward the mission of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, focusing on Kashmir, Insaniyat and Jhamooriyat.
He mentioned that the world now recognizes the changes in Jammu and Kashmir. Efforts are on to bridge the remaining Dil ki Dooriyan and Dili ki Dooriyan (emotional and geographical distances), he said.
We all need to work together for a prosperous J&K. In the past, funds were allocated to the region but never reached their intended destination. Today, money allocated for specific projects reaches the right places at the right time, Modi added.
The Prime Minister shared his recent experience in Italy, highlighting the overall positive impression of his government, re-elected for a third consecutive term.
People who place their faith and trust in the government for the third time create significant global impact and strengthen international relations, he noted. Today, the aspirations of Indian youth and the general population are at an unprecedented level. When aspirations rise, government expectations also rise. We now have an ambitious company that values performance above all.
He said the performance did not come from social media bashans (speeches). The nation has seen our performance and today the same government is at the Center for the third time, Modi said.
