Two Kampar residents were determined to arrest Jokowi in Solo, allegedly talking about land grabbing
Pekanbaru (ANTARA) – A viral video has been circulating of two residents believed to be from Kampar Regency, Riau, intercepting the car carrying the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in Solo, Central Java, to share their problems on Friday. (12/12).

In the viral video, two men can be seen waiting patiently for Jokowi's motorcade to leave the alley of his house in Solo City, Central Java.
As Jokowi's car was about to leave the alley, the two men dressed in batik and white shirts knelt down and pressed their palms together in a sign of their sincere request to have the opportunity to meet and interact with Jokowi.
Seeing this, Jokowi's car stopped for a moment.
One of Jokowi's aides rolled down the car window while speaking to the man. Jokowi's other bodyguard then got out of the black car behind him and approached the man and was seen engaging in dialogue.
On his social media account, Jokowi explained that this moment happened before Friday prayers.
“Two days ago, before Friday prayer time, two people came to me to convey something that seemed important,” Jokowi said in his tweet.
“I convey to you that we will first perform Friday prayers, after which we will be invited to meet at the residence,” he continued.
Jokowi did not further explain the complaints conveyed in his tweet.
“After Friday prayers, we met and listened carefully to their complaints. It turned out that the 2 men were from Riau.
Jokowi said he would always be open to listening to complaints from residents who came to him.
“I'm always open to listening. I hope I can help,” he said.
In the comments column on Jokowi's account, netizens can see information that the two men came from Tapung District, Kampar Regency.
They wanted to complain about developments in the settlement of land disputes over thousands of hectares that have allegedly been taken over by plantation companies in their region.
