Jui-f to decide the possible PTI alliance after Eid, says Fazl

Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) will decide a potential alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) after Eidul Fitr, said party leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday.

Addressing journalists in Islamabad, Fazl confirmed that the JUI-F Advisory Council would deliberate on the opportunity to join PTI to launch an anti-government movement.

He noted that although the tensions with PTI have relaxed, the party remains divided internally, with its main leaders, including the founding president Imran Khan and the vice-president Shah Mahmood Qureshi, still behind bars.

The head of Jui-F warned that unilateral political decisions could intensify tensions in the country. He added that the chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could play a crucial role in the current political landscape.

Fazl also underlined the need for a dialogue on Balutchistan and said that JUI-F could consider playing a role in the issues related to Afghanistan if the State asked by the State.

The PTI actively contacted opposition leaders according to the Khan directive to build an anti-government alliance.

In January, a PTI delegation officially invited Fazl to join the opposition block, Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-E-Pakistan (TTAP). More recently, Asad Qaiser de PTI and Senator Jui-F Kuman Murtaza have formed a committee to facilitate steep discussions.

Despite these efforts, an official working relationship remains elusive. JUI-F transmitted his conditions and concerns to PTI.
