Imran Khan can be released if he sincerely apologizes for the May 9 riots: Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad-Rana Sanaullah, advisor to the Prime Minister of Political Affairs, said that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, could be released if he sincerely apologized for the events of May 9.

Rana Sanaullah unveiled the state of the release of Imran Khans in prison while speaking on local private television on Saturday.

Rana Sanaullah said that if the court granted the bond to the founder of the PTI, the government had no objection. He said the government had not put Imran Khan under residence; He is in prison due to his pending cases.

He also declared that the founder of PTI could request the surety from the High Court or the Supreme Court.

However, Imran Khan is not ready to apologize himself and he presents cases in court.

Last week, he challenged the transfer of three judges from the High Court of Islamabad (IHC) before the Supreme Court.

Imran Khan through his constitutional petition before the Supreme Court and appointed the federal government, the registrars of the senior courts of Lahore, Sindh, Balutchistan and Islamabad as respondents.

The petitioner argued that the existing judges of the High Court of Islamabad were intended for reprisals because they had raised their voice against interference and decided on affairs against Imran Khan to merit.

He argued that a judge had been appointed acting chief without taking an oath, affirming that such actions aim to undermine judicial independence.

The PTI asked the court to cancel the transfer of the three judges, to ensure transparency in the light of the Al-Jehad Trust case and to declare that article 200 can only be exercised by the detailed consultation.

Earlier, Imran Khan had ordered his party to launch a vigorous movement after the sacred month of Ramadan.
