Faisal Malik, Khan's lawyer, told journalists after being released from Adiala prison that the prison administration had not respected the directives of the court.

Malik said that before calling the file and returning it without processing it, prison employees had taken photos of the court order to transmit to the superintendent. The prison administration asked that the court orders be rendered by official mail, continued Malik.
