Pinky, the so-called “queen of cocaine”, sent to prison – Pakistan

A local court in Karachi on Tuesday sent suspected drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky, nicknamed the “cocaine queen” by investigators, to remand after police arrested her as part of a major anti-drug operation carried out with the help of federal agencies.

During the hearing of a drug recovery case, the court ordered the investigator to submit the file within 14 days.

According to police, the accused was arrested from Karachi’s Garden area and was allegedly running an organized narcotics network operating in several cities of Pakistan.

Investigators said charas and other drugs worth over Rs1.5 million were recovered from his possession, along with a pistol and ammunition.

Police sources said Pinky was among the most wanted fugitives in several criminal cases and had absconded in at least 10 cases registered at the Garden police station.

Authorities said the accused operated a vast supply chain that distributed drugs to different parts of the country. Authorities said she used horse riders to transport narcotics to avoid law enforcement surveillance.

According to investigators, the network’s clients included students from educational institutions as well as individuals from various segments of society. Police also claimed that some prominent personalities were among his alleged clients.

Investigative sources said that the accused originally belonged to Kasur and established a large organized narcotics network in Karachi.

Officials further revealed that the code name “Pinky” was frequently used in drug trafficking to conceal the network’s activities.

Police described the arrest as a major breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking in the city. Fresh cases have also been registered against the suspect.

Authorities said investigations were underway to identify and arrest other members of the network and track down the individuals accused of providing shelter and logistical support for the operation. Officials added that evidence is being collected from multiple angles as the investigation continues.
