KPK interrogates three Ministry of Transportation officials for corruption in DJKA project

SinPo.id – The investigation team of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of three officials of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) today, Monday, May 25, 2026.

They will be questioned as witnesses in the alleged corruption case in the railway construction and maintenance project of the General Directorate of Railways (DJKA), Ministry of Transport.

“The examination was carried out at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said on Monday.

Those examined were Ariyandi Ariyus as Head of the North Sumatra Class II Land Transportation Management Center (BPTD); Herman Armada as head of the security audit section at the General Directorate of Land Transport.

Next, Hanura Kelana Iriana as head of BPTD Class I West Java. The examination was carried out to complete the investigation files regarding Sudewo’s suspicions as a former member of Commission V of the DPR and also regent of Pati.

Previously, the KPK said it was investigating the flow of fees for this project to a number of officials and parties in the Ministry of Transportation. Investigators investigated this matter by interviewing two witnesses on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

“In this investigation, investigators are looking into allegations of project arrangements and fee transfer to the Ministry of Transportation,” said Budi Prasetyo in his statement, Friday, May 22, 2026.

The two witnesses in question are the former head of the Semarang Class 1 Railway Engineering Center for the period 2021-2023, Putu Sumarjaya and CV Parama Prima consultant and entrepreneur, Karseno Endra.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) also confiscated an amount of money from the expert staff of the then Minister of Transportation of Budi Karya Sumadi and Dudy Purwagandhi, Robby Kurniawan, on Monday, May 18, 2026. The amount of money confiscated from Robby was worth hundreds of millions of rupiah.

Robby served as Special Staff for Logistics and Multimodal when Budi Karya Sumadi was Minister of Transportation during the era of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Budi Karya was also questioned in this case at the BPKP Office in Semarang City on Monday, March 9. At that time, Budi was questioned about the work of the DJKA project in a number of areas on the islands of Sumatra and Java, marked by bribes.

Not only that, Budi Karya was also asked about the involvement of the legislators of Commission V DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period. This information was requested by investigators to investigate the actions of Sudewo, who was named as a suspect, as well as to look for the involvement of other parties.

The KPK suspects that suspect Sudewo received fees from the DJKA project through a trusted person while he was a member of Commission V DPR RI for the period 2019-2024.

The KPK emphasized that it will further investigate alleged fund flows to other members of Commission V DPR. Based on the facts of the trial and previous decisions, 19 members and leaders of Commission V DPR were suspected of being involved in this case.

These are Lasarus (PDIP); Ridwan Bae (Golkar); Hamka Baco Kady (Golkar); Sudewo (Gerindra); Novita Wijayanti (Gerindra); Sumail Abdallah (Gerindra).

Next, Ali Mufthi (Golkar); Ishak Mekki (Democrat); Lasmi Indaryani (Democrat); Neng Eem Marhamah Zulfa Hiz (PKB); Sofiane Ali (PKB); Mochamad Herviano Widyatama (PDIP); Sukur H. Nababan (PDIP); Sudjadi (PDIP); Sadarestuwati (PDIP); Sri Rahayu (PDIP); Sarcé Bandaso Tandiasik (PDIP); Fadholi (Nasdem); and Sri Wahyuni ​​​​(Nasdem).

The alleged corruption case at the DJKA of the Ministry of Transportation began with an undercover operation (OTT) on April 11, 2023. From this OTT, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) indicted 10 people as suspects. Some of them are PT Istana Putra Company Owner Agung Dion Renato Sugiarto, PPK BTP Semarang Bernard Hasibuan and Head of BTP Semarang Putu Sumarjaya.

Developing this case, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested around 21 suspects consisting of elements from the Ministry of Transportation, members of the DPR and private parties.
