Jokowi presses PSI and Lampung becomes starting point for political safari – Cepos Online

CEPOSONLINE.COM, JAYAPURA – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), has started to step on the accelerator to embark on a political safari in several regions of Indonesia.

Lampung province this time would be the first region to be visited as part of a series of political safaris.

The visit was also related to efforts to strengthen the consolidation of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) in various regions.

In addition to responding to community invitations, Jokowi is expected to meet with PSI administrators and volunteers in the areas visited.

DPP PSI Chairman Bestari Barus said that besides Lampung, Jokowi would also visit East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) and West Java (Jabar).

According to Bestari, the visit program was made to respond to the invitation of the public who wanted to meet Jokowi in person after he ceased to be President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Not only that, Jokowi also plans to stay in touch with PSI structures in the regions and the volunteers who support him.

“God willing, we will also visit the PSI structures in the region. It is mentioned that he is also a volunteer,” he said.

Previously, Jokowi said he was willing to travel again to a number of regions after his health improved.

This statement was made while he was at his residence in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, Central Java, Monday (24/5/2026).

According to Jokowi, many people from various regions invited him to attend in person.

He therefore plans to respond to the invitation in the near future.

“Yes, I received many invitations, invitations from the regions to participate from the community. Yes, I am in good health and I will respond to existing invitations,” Jokowi said.

Meanwhile, Jokowi’s political safari is seen as further strengthening his closeness to society and providing a moral injection to the PSI facing the dynamics of national politics in the future.
