Jokowi ready to tour Indonesia again, PDIP highlights real benefits for people
Suaradesa.co, Jakarta – The plan of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo or Jokowi, to start traveling to various regions in Indonesia again from June 2026 has attracted public attention.
This program also received a critical response from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).
PDIP spokesperson Ansy Lema believes that activities that affect the community or absorb aspirations must be accompanied by concrete measures that directly affect the needs of the population.

He highlighted growing public unrest due to employment difficulties, declining purchasing power and economic pressure felt by many families in various regions.
“The problem of the people today is no longer just to hear the complaints, but to know how concrete solutions can be implemented immediately,” Ansy said during a political debate broadcast on national television, Wednesday (27/5/2026).
The PDIP also questioned the follow-up to the aspirations that Jokowi would collect later during the trip.
The reason is that Jokowi no longer has direct authority over the government after his term ends.
According to Ansy, the public certainly wants to know to what extent the results of dialogue with the population can actually be translated into policies with a direct impact.
However, Jokowi is known to be close to Blusukan culture.
This style of going straight to the field has stuck with him since he served as Mayor of Solo, Governor of DKI Jakarta and President of the Republic of Indonesia for two terms.
Information regarding plans to tour Indonesia emerged after Jokowi met with a number of volunteers in Rawamangun in early May 2026.
During the meeting, Jokowi reportedly began preparing the national agenda after his health almost completely recovered.
Apart from this, discussions were also held regarding the continuity of a number of government programs currently being pursued by President Prabowo Subianto.
