JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PDI-P DPP Chairman Djarot Saiful Hidayat asked the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to show his original diploma to end the controversy that is still developing in society.
According to Djarot, this step is simpler than if the case continues to follow the legal process, or even until trial.
“The best thing is not to use drama. You don’t need to use drama in court, you know. If you ask about my diploma, I will show it to you,” said Djarot after the technical orientation event (Bimtek) for PDI-P DPRDs throughout Indonesia, Saturday (30/5/2026).

Djarot said Jokowi only needed to show the disputed diploma so the public could have certainty and no longer question its authenticity.
“But yes, he must also be able to explain, to show so that people are really sure that the diploma is authentic. You just have to show the diploma,” he said.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta believes that this method could be a way to reduce recurring controversies.
“Perhaps to neutralize this, he will show his original diploma to end the controversy that has taken place, for example. please“, said Djarot.

Djarot made the statement while responding to reporters’ questions regarding Jokowi’s plans to visit several regions once his health recovers.
Djarot stressed that the PDI-P was not disturbed by this agenda.
In fact, according to him, Jokowi’s visit to the regions will make his party stronger.
“In fact, when he goes to several regions, our party will become more solid. Our party will become more solid to build the party internally and more solid to go down. So, feel free to let him go anywhere, freely,” Djarot said.

PSI DPP Chairman Bestari Barus said Jokowi would soon visit a number of regions, including Lampung, NTT and West Java.
According to Bestari, in addition to responding to the community’s invitation, Jokowi is also expected to meet with PSI administrators in the regions and volunteers.
