Jokowi joins the “Beau Mas Bahlil” trend and appreciates the creativity of young people
ASPEK.ID, JAKARTA – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) also highlighted the virality of the song “Mas Bahlil Ganteng” which has recently been widely used on various social media platforms. Jokowi even directly uploaded the vibe in front of his private home in Solo which was filled with young people dancing to the song.
Jokowi shared this moment via his personal Instagram account. In his upload, Jokowi admitted that he was surprised to see the crowd in front of his house in the Gang Kutai Utara area, Solo.
“Apparently Pak Bahlil’s song has reached the home page,” Jokowi wrote.

Jokowi said that at first he thought something was happening because many young people had gathered in front of his house. After being observed, it turned out that they were creating content while dancing to the song which was going viral.
“At first I thought there was something in front of my house in Gang Kutai Utara, Solo. It turned out that the young people were enthusiastic about dancing, Mas Bahlil is beautiful,” he continued.
The song “Mas Bahlil Ganteng” is currently trending on social media. Many clips of the song are used as background music for various entertainment and dance videos uploaded by Internet users.
According to Jokowi, this phenomenon shows the creativity of the younger generation in the use of digital spaces for expression. He believes that the enthusiasm shown by young people through this trend deserves to be appreciated.
“I see for myself the younger generation expressing their joy in unique ways. What is clear is that their enthusiasm and creativity should be appreciated,” Jokowi said.
Previously, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia also responded to the song’s virality. Bahlil admitted that he was curious to know the figure of the songwriter whose name is now widely discussed on social networks.
When he met Raffi Ahmad, Bahlil even asked for help in finding the person who wrote the song “Mas Bahlil Ganteng”, which has recently appeared frequently in various social media contents. []
