Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodriguez arrived in the national capital on Wednesday for a five-day working visit aimed at further deepening bilateral relations between India and Venezuela.
Welcoming the Venezuelan leader, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) said in a message on X that the visit would be an opportunity for the two countries to strengthen their cooperation and leverage the dynamics of their bilateral partnership.
“A warm welcome to Acting President of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez on her arrival in New Delhi. During her visit, Acting President Rodriguez will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit will further deepen India-Venezuela relations and build on the dynamics of bilateral partnership,” the message read.
According to a statement, the MEA said the visit would take place from June 3 to 7.

Rodriguez was previously scheduled to travel to India to attend the International Big Cat Alliance summit on June 1, which was later postponed.
She is currently undertaking a formal working visit accompanied by a high-level delegation composed of the Venezuelan Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economy and Finance, Science and Technology, Communication and Information, and Transport.
