“I received the recording,” Roy Suryo confidently reveals irregularities in Jokowi’s diploma records
Telematics expert Roy Suryo admitted to having the full recording of the press conference held by Polda Metro Jaya regarding the development of the alleged defamation case regarding the alleged fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi)
Armed with this recording, Roy is optimistic about the ongoing legal proceedings against him and a number of other suspects.

According to him, the recording shows that the press conference held on Tuesday (02/06/2026) was not specifically intended to announce the developments in Jokowi’s diploma case.
He explained that the main agenda of the press conference at that time was to discuss a number of other cases, including the case of the persecution of KontraS activists and developments in other legal cases.
“Look, yesterday’s press conference was a press conference on another subject,” Roy said, quoted on Saturday (6/6).
Roy admitted that he studied the entire recording of the event from start to finish. Based on his observations, the discussion on the status of Jokowi’s diploma case only emerged at the end of the event during the question and answer session with reporters.
“I have a video recording of the press conference, and at the end of the question and answer session, there was a question from an infotainment reporter who asked about Roy Suryo’s P21 case,” he said.
For Roy, the fact that information on the status of P21 was only revealed in response to questions from journalists deserves attention.
He believes that communicating the progress of such an important case as Jokowi’s diploma case should be carried out in a specific and open manner, considering the great public attention paid to this case.
Currently, Roy and four others are still suspects in the alleged defamation and slander reported by Jokowi since November 2025.
Apart from Roy, the other suspects in this case are Tifauzia Tyassuma, Tri Rohyani’s gift, Mohammed Rizal FadillahAnd Rustam Effendi.
Meanwhile, the other three names, viz. Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar, Lubis peaceful dayAnd Eggi Sudjanaobtained an end to the legal process through a restorative justice mechanism.

Roy stressed that he will continue to monitor the legal process while paying close attention to any developments that he believes require a more detailed explanation from law enforcement officials.
