Late night hosts on Tuesday night addressed Donald Trump appearing to doze off during the NBA Finals, misleading reports about peace talks with Iran and plans for another Trump walk in Washington DC.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host responded to reports that Trump appeared to be taking a nap during Monday night’s Knicks vs. Spurs game at Madison Square Garden.

In doing so, Kimmel said, it made him “the first sitting president to shut down a major United States city so he could take a nap in front of a sold-out crowd at the NBA Finals.”

Fans at the game faced poorly managed crowd control and hours-long wait times due to increased security, while protesters held signs reading: “Go Knicks, Fuck Trump.”

“Say what you want about Trump, [but] he’s been great for the billboard industry,” Kimmel said.

Fans at the arena booed Trump when he was shown saluting on the jumbotron, while crowds watching the party at a local park also expressed their disapproval. “Even the pigeons were telling him to suck it,” the host joked.

After the match began, the president appeared to take a nap. “[He] “I spent who knows how many millions of taxpayer dollars to make this happen and it’s coming out to the light,” Kimmel said. “I hope Joe Biden was watching this and laughing at him.”

On Monday, Trump said he was “an hour” away from finalizing a peace deal with Iran, which did not materialize. “This is going to last until Christmas,” Kimmel said. “He spent his whole life saying things that aren’t true and moving on as if they were.

“Unfortunately for him, it doesn’t work when there are missiles involved. In missiles versus bullshit, the missiles win. This guy is about as close to a deal with Iran as touching his toes right now.”

In a new interview, Trump said Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu should accept any peace deal the United States offers, saying, “I’m the one who decides. I’m the one who makes all the decisions.”

“And then, since he said ‘shots’ three times, Pete Hegseth magically appeared,” Seth Meyers joked on his late-night show.

Last week, Trump claimed the United States made $50 billion after taking a 10% stake in a semiconductor company, and bragged that he should become a stock broker. “Then go ahead,” Meyers said to applause from the audience. “There are so many other jobs you clearly prefer.”
