Erdogan tells UN chief that Türkiye works for regional peace
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday that Turkey is actively working to establish peace and stability in Iran, Gaza and the Horn of Africa, according to a statement from the Turkish Communications Directorate.

Erdogan stressed that the diplomatic opportunity to resolve issues between the United States and Iran must be used effectively, adding that the international community has the responsibility to prevent any attempts to sabotage the process. He warned that letting the negotiation window close would risk further destabilizing a region already strained by conflict.

The Turkish president also stressed the importance of maintaining effective UN operations in Syria, saying Ankara will continue to provide the necessary support to these missions.
