VOICE OF INDONESIA, BANYUWANGI – A team of professors from the Banyuwangi State Polytechnic (Poliwangi) accompanied MSME stakeholders from the Diamond Women’s Association (IWB) to Gitik village, Rogojampi district.

Assistance is provided through the Community Service Program (PKM) which focuses on strengthening trade in eco-enzyme products by improving packaging and simplifying accounting.

Service Team Leader Sandryas Alief Kurniasanti, S.ST., MM, said the program aims to increase competitiveness while strengthening corporate governance of IWB members.

“We want to help economic actors not only produce good products, but also be able to manage their business in a more orderly and sustainable way,” Sandryas said on Thursday (18/6/2026).

In this activity, the service team discovered a number of obstacles that business players still face, particularly in financial management and determining product sales prices.

Many IWB members still mix their business money with their household needs, making it difficult to know how their business is profiting and growing.

To overcome this problem, participants received simple training in accounting, including recording the company’s capital, income, expenses and profits.

The service team also introduced basic rules for managing company finances by separating personal money and company money to preserve capital.

Apart from this, IWB members are advised to understand the importance of returning production capital before calculating the profit obtained from sales.

“Bookkeeping is not a complicated thing. With simple records, economic actors can know the financial situation of their company more clearly,” Sandryas said.

The support also includes improving the packaging of eco-enzyme products to make them more attractive and have added value so that they can reach a wider market.

The program also involved service team members Shinta Setiadevi, S.TP., MM, Novilia Kareja, SE, MA, as well as students Shakila Rita Karista and Mareta Vira Aulia.

Through these activities, IWB members should be able to manage their businesses more professionally, maintain capital stability and improve their family’s well-being.

The eco-enzymatic product produced by IWB members is a liquid fermented organic waste that is used as a household cleaner, organic fertilizer and natural pesticide.
