President Donald Trump visits North Dakota for America’s 250th birthday celebration | The powerful 790 KFGO

BISMARCK (North Dakota Monitor) – President Donald Trump is traveling to North Dakota on Wednesday to take the first flight of the new Air Force One.

After landing in Bismarck, Trump will travel to Medora, a resort town in western North Dakota, where he will participate in the celebration of the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.

Trump gives a private tour of the library before speaking at the Burning Hills Amphitheater, an event that is part of the Freedom 250 celebration.

The public can watch Trump’s speech live on the White House YouTube page. Remarks are scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. MT, according to a White House report.

Members of the public began lining up at Medora as early as 6 a.m. MT to watch the president’s speech. C-SPAN also broadcasts coverage. This is Trump’s fourth visit as president to North Dakota and the first visit during his second term.

Some attendees arrived early to greet Trump, who is expected to participate in a ceremony for the arrival of the Freedom 250 train. Riders representing Theodore Roosevelt’s Rough Riders are also set up to escort Trump’s motorcade.

Accompanying Trump on Air Force One were Interior Secretary and former North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and his wife, Kathryn, Donald Trump Jr. and his wife, Bettina, Eric Trump and Rep. Julie Fedorchak, according to a White House report. Fedorchak’s office said she was the first member of Congress to travel aboard the new plane, donated by the government of Qatar.

The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library will open its doors to the public on Saturday, July 4, the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence from Great Britain. Roosevelt spent time in the Badlands of western North Dakota after the deaths of his wife and daughter and said he would not have been president without his time in North Dakota.
