PTI condemns quadcopter attack that kills three girls in Wazirist

The PTI has condemned an alleged quadcopter attack in Lower South Waziristan’s Nargasi where three girls died and four of their family members were injured. PTI demands transparent investigation and better security.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned the killing of three girls and injuries sustained by four other members of the same family in an alleged quadcopter attack in Nargasi area of ​​Birmal tehsil in Lower South Waziristan early on Sunday.

In a statement, PTI Central Information Secretary (CIS) Sheikh Waqas Akram expressed deep sadness and sincere condolences over the tragic incident. He questioned the alarming increase in drone strikes and security incidents in various parts of the country, including the border districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to information gathered, the attack cost the lives of three girls aged between six and fifteen, while four other members of the family, including a woman and three young boys, suffered more or less serious injuries.

Waqas said the tragic loss of innocent civilian lives was deeply disturbing and demanded a transparent and impartial investigation to determine the facts behind the incident and ensure those responsible are held accountable.

Criticizing the federal government for the deteriorating security situation, he recalled that under the PTI government under Prime Minister Imran Khan, exemplary peace had been restored across the country, with a significant decline in terrorist incidents and no drone strikes targeting civilians reported. However, he lamented that since the regime change conspiracy, the country has witnessed a continuous downward trajectory in security, law and order, economy, governance and political stability, with ordinary Pakistanis bearing the brunt of the deteriorating situation, mainly due to the short-sighted and self-centered leaders who have been imposed on the country.

The PTI CIS urged the government to go beyond declarations and take tangible, practical and effective measures to prevent such attacks and protect the lives and properties of citizens, especially those living in conflict-affected border regions.
