Doctor Tifa’s trial intensifies, 37-page exception highlights Jokowi’s degree and authority of East Jakarta District Court
JAKARTA, Satuju.com – The exception of Doctor Tifa Jokowi attracted public attention after the legal team of Tifauzia Tyassuma, alias Doctor Tifa, read out a 37-page objection note during the initial trial for alleged defamation at the East Jakarta District Court on Thursday. The question of judicial authority has now become one of the aspects that the panel of judges will examine before embarking on the main examination of the case.
This trial also attracted attention because it took place after Joko Widodo’s statement in Solo, saying he was ready to show his diplomas from elementary to tertiary level if the trial judge asked him to do so.
The panel of judges is expected to make a provisional ruling on this exception at the next trial. The decision will determine whether the legal team’s objections are upheld or whether the trial process continues to the evidentiary stage.
