Israel has shared new intelligence with the United States on a new Iranian plot to assassinate US President Donald Trump, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday evening, citing people familiar with the matter.

The report follows the latest series of attacks between the United States and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Israeli embassy in Washington declined to comment on the matter and the Iranian mission to the United Nations did not immediately respond to the outlet’s request for comment.

The White House, however, reportedly referred the Wall Street Journal to comments made by Trump on Wednesday while speaking to reporters in Ankara during the NATO summit.

“They want to eliminate the American leader, me,” Trump told reporters in Türkiye. “I’m on every list. I saw this morning, I’m on every one of their lists. And so far, I guess I’ve had a little luck, but it might not last very long.”

“I swear by the blood of Supreme Leader Trump, we will kill you!” they shouted, as women held up signs reading “Kill Trump.”

On Thursday, the roads leading to the shrine were filled with people dressed in black, some responding to chants praising Khamenei and against Iran’s enemies, including the old revolutionary slogan of “Death to America.”

Trump briefed Netanyahu on current US actions in the Gulf and US attacks on Iranian assets, while Netanyahu warned Trump against approving the F-35 deal with Turkey.

Netanyahu also addressed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s harsh remarks against the existence of the State of Israel, as well as the need for security zones along Israel’s borders.

No further details of the phone call were shared.

Despite the phone call and the evolving situation, a White House official confirmed to Walla on Thursday that there are no plans at this time for the two leaders to meet.
