In Margo Jadi village on Friday, Mesuji police distribute basic foods and make appeals to prevent forest and land fires

MESUJI – The Head of Operations of the Mesuji Police, representing the Police Chief, directly led the ranks in carrying out Friday’s Confide activities in Margo Jadi Village, East Mesuji District, Mesuji Regency, Friday (07/17/26).

This activity aims to strengthen friendship, hear the aspirations of residents and provide assistance and advice on safety and environmental matters.

On the occasion, the Mesuji Police Department also distributed 25 basic food parcels to needy residents of the area, containing 5 kg of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, 1 kg of flour and 1 kg of granulated sugar.

On this occasion, the Head of Operations, Commissioner of Police Hendra Gunawan SH, MH, representing the Mesuji Police Chief AKBP, Dr. Muhammad Firdaus SIK, MH, and his team also conveyed various important appeals to all residents of Margo Jadi village and its surrounding areas.

“The provision of this assistance is a form of the National Police’s concern to lighten the burden on the community and get closer to the population,” said the head of operations.

He also stressed that people should not clear agricultural land by burning forests, as the dry season is prone to forest and land fires (Karhutla).

Land fires not only harm the environment, but also violate laws and regulations, can cause harm to local residents, and may be subject to criminal sanctions.

In addition, Commissioner Hendra also appealed to always preserve forests and protect protected animals. “The public is asked not to catch, injure, detain or kill animals falling into the category of protected animals in accordance with the applicable legal provisions,” he added.

Then, the public is asked not to get involved in drug networks or consume them because this can harm themselves and their families, especially as they may be exposed to heavy legal sanctions.
