SOLO, KOMPAS.TV – The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received a visit from the Ambassador of Qatar to Indonesia, Sultan Bin Mubarak Al Dosari, in Solo, Central Java, Friday (17/7/2026) afternoon.
Based on video surveillance KompasTVJokowi, dressed in a brown batik shirt, directly greeted the sultan.
The Sultan was accompanied by several people, one of whom looked like a translator. He arrived at Jokowi’s home in a white car.

They immediately shook hands and kissed as soon as they met. Soon after, the two of them entered Jokowi’s courtyard.
The meeting between the two lasted approximately 40 minutes. After the meeting, the Sultan said that the meeting had been scheduled in advance.
“I only visited Mr. Joko Widodo because it was previously planned,” the sultan said through his translator.
Regarding the content of the conversation, he admitted that he only discussed ordinary issues and relations between the two countries.
“More or less, I’m just talking about normal discussions, related to Qatar-Indonesia relations,” he said.

Meanwhile, Jokowi admitted that he was only talking about light things. But he also asked many questions about the current situation in the Middle East.
“Yes, the visit of Qatar’s new ambassador, His Excellency Dr. Sultan, yes, we only spoke lightly, especially I asked a lot about the latest situation in the Middle East. That’s all,” Jokowi said.
