TKN Jokowi questions Prabowo’s solution to overcoming APBN leaks

Eva Kusuma Sundari, a member of the Joko Widodo-Ma’ruf Amin (TKN) national campaign team, said APBN leaks have existed since the New Order era and their number continues to decline with regime changes.
“Regarding leaks, this is a disease since the time of Mr. Soeharto, even worse. Because before, the APBN did not have one door, but several doors. So, Mr. Harto issued many presidential decrees just to ensure that the money was controlled through a transparent political process,” Eva said when contacted on Friday (5/4).
Eva admitted that there was still a budget leak to this day. However, he claims that this number is not as large as during the New Order era. “But I assure you that if later the implementation of e-budgeting, e-procurement and e-planning is carried out like in DKI during the Pak Jokowi era and this applies to the whole of Indonesia, there will be no more possibilities of planned leaks,” he said.
“So if you don’t want leaks, choose Mr. Jokowi. Because Mr. Jokowi has a system to ensure that there are no more escape intentions that are satisfied,” Eva continued.
Eva then said that presidential candidate 02 Prabowo did not have a program like Jokowi’s to overcome APBN leaks. Prabowo, he said, criticizes more than he provides solutions.

The issue of budget leaks resurfaced following the results of the Corruption Eradication Committee Research and Development (KPK) which found that there was a fairly high number of leaks in the APBN. Corruption Eradication Commission Deputy Chairman Basaria Panjaitan said that if there was no leak, Indonesia’s total APBN would have reached IDR 4,000 trillion. Currently, the total APBN is approximately IDR 2,439 trillion.
